Kane Richmond

Handsome Kane Richmond played three comic strip and pulp fiction heroes in the 1930s:

Spy Smasher from Fawcett Comics; The Shadow (Who knows what evil lurks in the minds of men); And Brick Bradford, a time travel hero in the same mold as Flash Gordon.

CHILDREN OF THE STONES

I came across an interesting British program from the 1970s that might be of interest to fans of horror - “Children of the Stones” (1977). It was produced on video tape so it has the look and feel of a Doctor Who episode from that period and it too was targeted towards children. But the story is creepy enough and complex enough that adults of this genre should enjoy it too.

The setup is familiar for British horror, a boy and his father come to a small English village where the local people act peculiar, as if members of a cult. Throw in a monolithic stone circle, Druids, weird chanting, atomic clocks and supernovas and you’ve got “Children of the Stones”. The father is played by Gareth Thomas who starred in “Blake’s 7” a few years later.

If I’ve perked your interest, you can get a copy of all 7 episodes on one disc via Netflix. I’ve seen it on Amazon as well.

Batman and Robin in “The Bat Flies at Midnight.”  Another mock comic cover in a series.  Also, just like my Thor cover I’m making the template for this cover available so that you can make your very own Batman comic cover.

I really like this art style.
